Addict

My name is Emily. I am a college student who dreams, fails, and tries again. I'm just trying to figure everything out like every other twenty something. My life is beautiful because of the people in it. I live for my friends and family.

The only promise I can make is that that I post things that catch my eye, make me laugh, or just confuse me.

A little more about me...

I love making people smile. If I do that, my entire day is made. I love being outside and just taking in the world by looking and just being. I love that the entire world is my playground and I love exploring all that it has to offer. I love music and the way it has the capabilities to move me in ways other things cant; it can literally make me forget about the world. I love kids and the way they think. They aren’t jaded by anything and think the best of people. I only hope to once again think like they do. I enjoy baking fun deserts and then of course stuffing my face with them. I tend to root for the underdog. Stories about people overcoming great boundaries always make me cry and help me keep me in line. I’m a sucker for a good love song and Nike shoes—well Nike anything. I prefer Coke to Pepsi. I would rather eat a pb & j or turkey sandwich over pretty much everything else. Music is my thing. I love listening to everything from rap to country, to classical and Broadway musicals. I can sing somewhat decent but don’t ask me to, I’ll clam up and freak out. I love the thought of getting into my car and just driving with the windows down, country music playing and no destination in mind. I live for bonfires, mudding, a good lemonade and being outside.

I surround myself with people who truly enjoy the meaning of life and don’t take the things you can’t hold in your hands for granted. If you can laugh at yourself, you’ve won me over. I tend to gravitate people who are funny, but hardworking and know when it’s time to buckle down/be serious. I prefer the idealist to the realist. I do respect those who take their lives very seriously, but if at the end of the day you can’t dance in your living room in your underwear and let loose, I don’t know if we can be friends.

Imagine if I did this at school. What a satisfying thought.
